ICAR 2006 - The International CAtastrophic Risks Forum is the main European catastrophic risks event.

This edition of the event was organized by The Ministry of Administration and Interior, Media XPRIMM and The World Bank and took place in Bucharest, Romania, between October 2nd - 3rd, 2006.

ICAR 2006 covered such topics as the role of governments in catastrophe risk management, risk assessment and identification, and risk financing as an integral part of catastrophe risk management.

The event drew on the practical approaches and case studies from all over the world in catastrophe risk management.
